You will support our long-range plan, making Griffith Foods the industry leader for the chosen categories by the promotion of a lean manufacturing culture through an operational excellence mindset.In this role, you will get the opportunity to learn, grow, and build your continuous improvement career at Griffith Foods. Previous experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer is not essential, as we will provide you with the necessary training to develop within this position and department.Tasks and responsibilities
  • Recognizing opportunities, understanding site losses and cost-loss linkage, and setting up a manufacturing database for productivity, efficiency, capacity, quality, and safety. Working with the site team to achieve loss elimination through GPS/Lean activities.
  • Auditing, recording, monitoring, and optimizing operational processes with the goal of streamlining and improving.
  • Working closely with the operational departments to update the technical standards for the way of working in terms of production, maintenance, energy, quality, ... and laying them down in procedures and training courses.
  • Supporting the Continuous Improvement Manager in the rollout of the Griffith Production System (GPS) program, ensuring the health and progress of program through workshop facilitation, coaching, and assessments
  • Coaching and engaging the plant management team, operations team, and frontline associates on full involvement in continuous improvement activities, enhancing full involvement culture of lean and continuous improvement.
  • Determining operational training needs, providing customized coaching and setting up the necessary events.
  • You will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, food industry, chemistry or equivalent required.
  • Data driven and analytical skills.
  • Process-oriented: translate calamities into improvement opportunities.
  • A good academic understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, 8 waste, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma, Problem Solving, RCA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills.
  • Team player, constructive and positive approach, well organized with a proactive “can do” mentality
