For our client, an organisation active in logistics and transport, we are looking for a

Continuous Improvement Manager.

Your workplace is Brussels, you will regularly travel to sites in Belgium.

What is your role?

  • You develop a vision for Continuous Improvement within the organisation and set up a structure with clear objectives.
  • You coach a team of CI experts who lead improvement projects. You prioritize and structure the CI projects.
  • You manage process improvement projects in the sites from A to Z (diagnosis, planning, design, implementation and follow-up).
  • You carry out cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies to prioritize improvement actions.
  • You advise and cooperate with local management in the sites as well as central management. You also liaise/collaborate with employees at all levels in the field to increase their involvement and achieve sustainable efficiency improvements.
  • You act as a promoter of change: you help create an environment where CI sets the mind-set.

Who are you?

  • We are looking for a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • You have already built up at least 8 years of experience in an industrial production environment of which a solid background in CI (lean manufacturing, lean management, process standardisation,...).
  • You have experience in managing a team. You are able to guide and coach your team and set priorities.
  • You have experience in improvement methodology (lean, kaizen, 5S, etc.) and project management. Ideally, you obtained a black belt.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and French.
  • You are strong in stakeholder management and you can convince, motivate and bring people on board for change.
  • You are solution and customer-oriented.
  • You combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic and hands-on attitude.
