Within the European Manufacturing IT Delivery Center, and part of the “Industrial Solutions” team, the IT Data Engineer / Project Coordinator will join a growing team and take part in the digital transformation of our European plants.

Mission

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in terms of development and deployment of a data integration chain between different information system applications or assets.

You will be focused on the infrastructure and architecture used in data generation and storage, building bridges between different IT actors and data analysts or data scientists.

Responsibilities

You will be in charge of the full data workflow by ensuring that deployed architecture supports business requirements. This will include developing, constructing, testing and maintaining data architecture (data base, large scale processing system). Moreover, you will recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.

A major part of the work will consist in coordinating the preparation of data for specific use cases defined by the business

Background

Computer Science, Computer Engineering

Profile

Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.

Some experience in project management

Experienced programming language (Python, Java, C/C#) with hands-on Gitlab and Docker

Accurate experience with cloud computing technology (mainly AWS – lambda , glue ,s3).

Technical experience with data models with strong data warehouse background (SQL, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle).

Knowledge about ETL tools or data preparation solutions is a real plus (for example Tableau prep, Talend).

Good understanding and practical use of streaming platform ( Kafka , firehose)

Tableau basic experience is welcome
