SENIORITY: MEDIOR TO SENIOR

Our client is looking for a talented Data Warehouse (DWH) Engineer to reinforce their Data Platforms team. This role centers around integrating SAP data into Google Cloud Platform’s BigQuery, unlocking data analytics and insights. The ideal candidate will understand the intricacies of SAP BW cubes and replicate their logic within the BigQuery data warehouse, adjusting the data model for the different technology constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the integration and modeling of SAP data into the GCP environment.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various systems into the cloud data warehouse.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data integration supports business analytics and decision-making processes effectively.
  • Implement data quality frameworks to guarantee the integrity and accuracy of data.
  • Optimize data models and ETL processes in BigQuery to enhance performance and support complex analytical queries.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud data warehousing technologies, especially within the GCP ecosystem, to continuously improve our data infrastructure.

Education:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:
  • Proven experience in data warehousing and data integration projects, preferably GCP’s BigQuery.
  • Solid understanding of SAP, SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and reporting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data management best practices and experience in optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability.

Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English. Proficiency in either Dutch or French is a plus.
  • Self-driven, autonomous, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
