The BDO network is an international network of public accounting, tax and advisory firms. The Global Office of the international BDO network has been entrusted with the coordination of the service provision within the BDO network.

We are seeking a for an Assistant Compliance and Monitoring for our Global Compliance and Monitoring (C&M) Team based in Zaventem (Belgium).

Your role

Your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing overall administrative support for the Global C&M, including calendars management and logistics support for all different projects of the department as well as any assigned internal and external meetings.
  • Assisting, and eventually leading, the delivery of routine but sensitive data to BDO firms and to the Global Office team.
  • Helping with maintenance and updating files and folders as needed.
  • Formatting the reports (Word, PPT), preparing presentations and MS Excel spreadsheets of various types
  • Prepare letters, written communications, summarize information and prepare analytics (under supervision of others)
  • Be the point of contact between different branches of the department as well as BDO firms around the world.

Your profile

  • Have either a high school diploma, university degree, or experience in an administrative role (minimum 2 years consecutively).
  • Have excellent command of English, both spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is an important asset.
  • Good listening skills including the ability to take notes during meetings.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Can multi-task and jump from one project to another.
  • Be able to work independently and in an international team, organised, attentive to detail and committed to delivering quality.
  • Be eager to learn and understand different processes and not afraid to suggest how they can be improved.
  • Be familiar with using Office 365 suite (Specially word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or equivalent IT skills; training or skill certification is an advantage.
  • Have experience with SharePoint lists and document libraries, or at least a very clear understanding of other cloud-based collaboration platforms.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude, easy-going, and good sense of humour.
  • An open mind to different backgrounds and cultures.
