ABOUT THIS JOB

You will be responsible for managing the relationship, client objectives, growth strategy and engagement plan for one or more of Nielsen Brandbank’s key Retailer clients. You will act as the main point of contact for these clients for Nielsen Brandbank, dealing with everything from day-to-day queries through to strategic account planning and development, as well as establishing a network of contacts across your client (or clients) organization focusing on company-wide engagement with Nielsen Brandbank. You will be responsible for achieving Quarterly targets; primarily these will be revenue based, but you will also be accountable for consistently improving retailer coverage metrics and customer satisfaction across your client base.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable influencing senior external stakeholders, strong sales skills, a track record of using data and tools to drive business growth and be comfortable with owning their own diary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering core revenue targets, based on executing contractually agreed revenue and generating new business across your client base. This involves being able to accurately forecasting revenue to the Benelux Retailer Lead, and ensuring there is a consistently strong pipeline to deliver core and growth targets

  • Developing a full understanding of the Nielsen Brandbank value proposition (both related to core service and additional software products), in order to identify opportunities within your client base, and to develop a pipeline of opportunities for the Nielsen Brandbank Supplier Sales team.

  • Building a rapport with your client base, frequently contacting them to understand their service requirements and identify potential areas where Nielsen Brandbank can further support their business objectives. This will support both revenue growth and customer satisfaction

  • Maintaining a strong pipeline of revenue opportunity for the Nielsen Brandbank Supplier Sales team, primarily through the obtaining and maintenance of Retailer assortment files, supporting with gap analysis and driving conversion of products to increase our coverage metrics (and therefore revenue)

  • Acting as a liaison between our Supplier client base and your Retailer clients; resolving issues in a timely fashion, helping support Supplier queries, and working in partnership with your Retailer clients to support the Nielsen Brandbank sales cycle

  • Ensuring that key contacts within your Retailer clients are established & maintained, and working with these clients to ensure they are educated on the benefits of Nielsen Brandbank’s solutions in order to provide us with advocates across your client (or clients) organization, and that our partnership will be endorsed by your client ongoing

  • Providing support, guidance, training and associated collateral for your clients to ensure a good level of knowledge of the Nielsen Brandbank business across all departments

  • Either directly selling, or supporting the sale, of our additional products & services beyond the core subscription service – this includes licensed software products and professional services solutions.

  • Scheduling product deliveries around our workflow capacity, dealing with operational queries and generally supporting our operations team to ensure we deliver a good level of service in all instances

  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the digital content industry (competitors, trends in the market etc) and the evolving business terrain that your clients are part of.

  • Responsible for full sales cycle: pulling together compelling sales presentations, proposals and negotiating contracts.

  • You are an opportunity magnet that can identify and implement up-selling additional services at every opportunity and you are willing to obtain feedback from customers regarding potential product enhancements and new service opportunities.

  • You enjoy following up on new business opportunities, adapting proposals to win new revenue through our service offerings, understanding what adjustments need to occur to safeguard the service/revenue stream.

  • You’re fluent in persuasion and always strive to achieve and surpass set objectives

  • You have strong consultative skills and always try to find ways to generate additional value to your customers by suggesting process improvement and new way of working

  • You demonstrate an interest in in-depth research of your customers, identify key aspects of their business and win this as a new deal.

  • You have a great network to hit the ground running, including key brands and manufacturers in FMCG, or if not you’re creative in how you approach people and build a network of your own.

  • You enjoy a fair amount of face-2-face quality time with your clients and happily plan sales trips and industry event visits.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or University degree in Business Administration or Marketing Affinity for e-business & e-commerce or the FMCG sector

  • 5 years of experience in key account management, strategic sales planning and implementation, including experience of pipeline management

  • An ability to present at Executive Level and below, controlling meetings to achieve your desired outcome

  • Experience of Product Information Management (PIM) systems and Master Data Management (MDM) systems preferred.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and balance immediate, short – term priorities and longer term opportunities

  • Organized and able to apply good time management

  • Self motivated, proactive, organized and outcome oriented

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite solutions to support your day-to-day operations.

  • Excellent written and spoken French & Dutch, business level of English

OTHER

  • You may be asked to undertake additional duties to those above, either on a temporary or permanent basis, which the Company reasonably believes you are capable of carrying out or for which you will be trained.

  • There may be requirements and opportunities for travel, both nationally and internationally, as part of this role.
