What does this job entail?

Compliance is a crucial part of our company culture. It allows us to conduct business ethically, in compliance with laws and regulations. As a Compliance Advisor Corporate Governance, you contribute to that.

Our comp & ben policy, conflicts of interest, the way KBC handles complaints, outsourcing, conduct risk, sustainability, the Compliance Charter, … This is merely a selection of the topics you will deal with.

Together with your team, you have an important, double role within our organisation:

  • to advise business stakeholders, support them in the implementation of compliance-related regulations, develop trainings and create awareness around compliance topics;
  • to make sure regulations are respected and correctly implemented.

What do we expect from you?

  • You closely follow relevant regulations and new evolutions in the field of corporate governance.
  • You analyse whether changes in the law require us to adapt our policies. If that’s the case, you advise on the implementation of these changes.
  • You check periodically whether regulations are respected.
  • You draft internal policies and revise them when necessary.
  • You develop trainings on corporate governance subjects.
  • You contribute to our outsourcing process and advise in outsourcing matters.

Your key strengths?

  • You have a university degree, preferably in law.
  • You have knowledge of regulations related to corporate governance and you have at least a first working experience in this domain or in compliance.
  • Experience with ESG (Environmental Social Governance) is a plus.
  • Just like your colleagues, you are committed and like to work together with others to achieve goals. At the same time, it’s no problem for you to work independently.
  • You have a critical mindset, great analytical skills and you know how to synthesize. This helps you to find solutions to challenges.
  • When people have different perspectives, you are able to align them. Clear, convincing communication and diplomacy are important success factors.
  • You write and speak Dutch and English on a professional level.
