Description And RequirementsWe are currently looking for a Consumer Sales Manager responsible for further development and managing the total consumer retail partner business across the region.In this role you are a crucial part of the leadership team and reports to the General Manager of Benelux.You will manage a team of 6 direct reports and in addition you will:
- Develop and execute Lenovo Benelux retail strategy, including strategic joint business planning, quarterly business review cadence and executive engagement with key retail partners
- Make Quarterly/half yearly business plans for key retail accounts to include complete range selections, volume targets by week, in-store demand generation activity plan and full marketing mix
- Have full ownership of P&L of the Consumer business
- Manage and grow the existing retail accounts base
- Ensure Lenovo achieves market share growth
- Target new developing consumer channels
- Manage key seasonal promotional opportunities i. e. Back to School, Christmas etc.
- Manage profitability which includes discounts, rebate plan, special incentives funding and promotions, target gross profit % and co-marketing
- Work with the Benelux and EMEA product management teams to determine appropriate product line up, price propositions and gain margin sign off for each customer play
- Engage with customers at all levels including senior management to completely understand their business drivers
- Internal project management across finance, services, marketing, supply chain, operations, and product management to support key retailers
- Grow share of wallet with existing retailers to support growth KPIs
- Work closely with marketing team to drive improvement in Lenovo brand health metrics among consumers
- Continuously coach and develop the employees to build a strong team, set clear development plans and goals for every team member
- Ensure employees understand how their work contributions to the Lenovo strategy, market success and the organization goals
- Lead by example, set clear performance standards, provide straightforward feedback in a respectful way, and actively manage low contributors
- Recognize outstanding contributions by employees and teams
- Ensure a positive performance climate, listen to employees, address their issues and help employees succeed in Lenovo’s matrix environment
- Own team cadence structure to optimize revenue and profit achievement, early identification of opportunities and challenges, and deliver a predictable business forecast
- At least 10 years of working experience, out of which at least 5 years as a people manager
- Experience within the retail segment, IT hardware industry experience and PC sector experience in Benelux would be preferred
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution
- Prior experience in P&L ownership
- Demonstrated face to face sales experience track record
- Network of contracts within targeted large format retailers, e-tailers and distributors would be an added advantage.
- Professional fluency in Dutch and English
- Structured planning and set up the right cadence to ensure execution
- Strong commitment and attitude

- Self-motivated and proactive mentality
- Energetic, sales driven attitude and a “can do” attitude
- Presentation and communication skills
- Ability to build an effective team structure
