Global Cloud and Network Engineer

As Cloud & Network Administrator you will work on the overall performance and availability of cloud solutions and network- and IT-infrastructure within Boortmalt together with your team colleagues.

Your main tasks will be:

Network

• Monitor, configure, implement and troubleshoot network devices of all the Boortmalt sites worldwide.
• Install, upgrade, and configure end-users’ devices, network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers and workstations
• Help analyzing network problems, together with next level
• Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis.
• Manage data backup and restore administration including fulfilling data recovery requests and performing periodic restore testing

Infrastructure

• Monitor, maintain, install and troubleshoot the server and devices of all the Boortmalt sites worldwide.
• Help analyzing infrastructure and end-user problems, together with next level
• Manage updates servers; physical and virtual, on premise or cloud based
• Active directory control and maintenance via user interface or PowerShell

Support

• Next to the above roles, the administrator will support the Global Support team with daily tasks in or out his region.
• Updating the knowledge base with processes, procedures and documentation for business continuity.
• Involving and work closely with 3-level support when needed

Personal development

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
• Maintain updated knowledge of relevant ICT advancements and best practices, to continue to effectively perform in areas of responsibility

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor/Master degree with IT specialization, or equal by experience
• Experience and knowledge of network and server administration
• You are process driven and have knowledge of ITIL
• Fluent in English and Dutch. Other languages are a plus
