Job Purpose and Impact

The Gourmet Director is accountable for developing the strategy, setting the long-term goals for global Gourmet organization and accountable for the end-to-end execution. In this role, you will take the lead to achieve the business performance objective by engaging strategic business partners, implementing business commitments, coaching/ leading commercial teams and plant operations, supply chain, FSQR and EHS teams. The Gourmet business is a growing business with branded portfolio and one stop shop model through right partners enabled by right marketing efforts. This position needs to create speed, work transformational, get fast-paced growth in highly ambiguous environment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Define possible investments and is accountable for any MADJV activities in cooperation with our strategy team.
  • Develop and implement strategy to accelerate the Gourmet growth path. Including key distributions relationships, exploring business growth opportunities, embed Gourmet branded portfolio strategy, ensure business strategy is implemented and meets long-term business needs. Closely collaborate with Sales, PLM, Marketing.
  • Responsible for business performance management, in-market balance sheet/profit and loss, business continuous excellence, customer engagement.
  • Working with the Gourmet operations and supply chain leader to lead the plant operations, FSQR, EHS and supply chain organization enabling our business to operate in a safe, responsible, and sustainable manner while delivering value to the customer. The operation and supply chain leader has a direct reporting line into this position.
  • Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs for defined/ new markets; establish and implement commercial succession planning, embed personal development and the fulfillment of personal potential in the culture of the organization.
  • Develop and nurture key account relationships, identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges and establish process planning to enable critical customer prioritization.
  • Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, engagement management, training, and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership, team building, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years and above experience of general management in a multi-plant manufacturing environment that includes sales, marketing, plant operations, credit and financial management and competitive positioning.
  • Experienced with branded B2B/B2C business and distribution affinity
  • Experience in an acquisition/integration context
