Huntsman is looking for a Sustainability intern, who wants to support us with quantifying our logistics environmental impact (e.g. carbon footprint analysis), goal setting, creating a sustainability dashboard and proposing impact projects. The internship will start in March or April 2022.

In Particular, You Will
  • Assess Huntsman’s logistics carbon footprint in Europe, Middle East and Africa for all in- and outbound transport movements (raw materials and finished goods)
  • Develop a uniform, transparent and scientific methodology for measuring C02 emissions
  • Explore the market for available software tools
  • Identify and recommend actions that will support Huntsman’s Horizon 2025 strategy
  • Develop the framework and support the monitoring (i.e. create a dashboard) of sustainability KPIs
  • Apply your knowledge of research tools and frameworks to create sustainable solutions
  • Benchmark Huntsman’s sustainability strategy and performance against peer companies
  • Assess the impact and requirements of current and future legislative and compliance standards
Required Profile
  • Studying in the direction of Sustainable Business and Innovation, Environment, Development Studies or similar
  • Studying in Engineering, Purchasing/Procurement and/or Business Management;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Have excellent people and communication skills and are a team player;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Have a strong eye for detail and well organised;
  • Independent, proactive and have a hands-on mentality;
  • Based in either the Netherlands or Belgium
