Antwerp - Antwerpen - Belgium, Brussels - Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest - BelgiumWe are looking for a QSHE Manager (m/f) to join the team at Organon Heist op den Berg.
For this position the candidate needs strong communication skills in English and Dutch. Without, we will not be able to proceed your application.
The purpose of this position is the creation, revision, implementation and enforcement of all aspects of the QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental) programs relative to the Organon account leading the CBRE QHSE staff members.
At the Organon account CBRE operates within the client’s QSHE Management System and interfaces with the client’s QSHE team leadership. This role ensures all CBRE employees are qualified for the work they are performing. This position is responsible for ensuring all master service agreement related QSHE are executed per those respective contract terms.
This individual oversight for all Organon locations CBRE is active to ensure integrity of QSHE services provided and alignment with mandated standardsand is specifically responsible for the day-to-day QSHE on the Organon Heist op den Berg site. The position can become hybrid. You will also be responsible for 4 countries (Belgium, The Netherlands, UK and USA).
Responsibilities On Level Of
Quality ;
This individual performs quality assurance audits, facility readiness programs and troubleshooting of systems to ensure reliability, compliance with all regulations and standards and monitoring documentation usability performance.
Training ;
This role maintains training files on employees and third party service providers.
Provides training metric reports to key CBRE and client representatives as per the service level agreement (SLA). Engages subject-matter-experts (SMEs) to support course creation, revision, and periodic compliance reviews.
Assists and/or facilitates leader led and on the job training courses and ensures remediation is provided to employees when necessary.
Audits
Assists with the CBRE QSHE self-inspection process and where required by the client. This may include, inspection planning, facilitating, reporting, appropriate escalations/notifications to management, and audit closing reports.
Incidents
This position supports change, event & root cause analysis processes through review and/or approval actions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manages QSHE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and QHSE needs of a client.
- Oversees QHSE plans, playbooks, and procedures for the account ensuring information is current, complete, and effectively implemented.
- Evaluates new and existing QSHE programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.
- Acts as a resource to staff and employees as an QHSE subject matter expert.
- Monitors performance for trends or other indicators of improving or degrading incident performance and develops and implements strategic solutions that will improve the performance results as required.
- Monitors injury, illness, and incident related performance within the account
- Promotes safety consciousness among employees by providing accurate and informative data, conducting safety meetings, giving timely feedback, on safety suggestions and visibly supporting the safety program(s).
- Communicates all findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to effect timely and necessary corrections.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management’s efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
- Assists in identifying in opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing quality of services for a client/account.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in HSE or Engineering from four-year college or university; or equivalent related work experience. Minimum 5+ years related work experience required. Previous experience within a QSHE organization within Life Science Environment(s) preferred. Specialized training in quality assurance audits preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety, and Environmental regulations is essential. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is preferred.
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and / or facility maintenance and management is preferred. Previous supervisory experience a plus.
- Experience in a GMP environment is a plus.
- Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.
- Ability to assess circumstances, empathize and offer help.
- Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
- Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
- ISO or similar quality assurance audit related certification. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) – Preferred
- Must have appropriate license and/or certification where required by law.
Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite and Online Help. Previous experience with SAP, Trackwise, Regulus, and/or CMMS systems.
Formal training with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S programs (among others) preferred.
