The Senior Go-to-Market (GTM) Practice Solutions Director usually operates in regional environments, usually leading more than one practice and takes guidance from the senior leadership team, globally.

The primary objective of this position is to lead, manage and implement a consistent and sustainable practice(s) aligned to and in support of the overall business strategy. This employee will fulfil business development, practice development and product management functions that accelerate success within the assigned geography / practice(s). He/she ensures that the practice is grown in line with the global solutions and services strategy and contributes to the development of the practice strategy.

"Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions. Communicates customer feedback to engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function."

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the creation of the regional and/or global practice strategy and develops the strategy for their practice(s) to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Lead and manage the transformation and growth for selling the particular practice or portfolios across the assigned geography and portfolios and/or solutions.
  • Directs, owns and optimizes the solution portfolio investment for the owned business solutions for their clients, aligning with the business strategies and priorities.
  • Identify and create demand for solutions that drive sales and ensure the financial viability for deployment, preparing and reviewing cost estimates.
  • Lead and manage a team of managers and ensure performance goals are constantly reviewed and achieved.
  • Develop and manage a budget for the portfolio and/or solutions.
  • Develop, support and maintain a community of practice where information and best practices can be shared.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for optimal practice efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to recommend, create, implement and manage a technology roadmap that articulates the positioning, capabilities and features for enablement of delivery capability.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to recommend, document and manage the formal plan of record including business outcomes, release plan, investment plan, resource plan, assumptions, risks and issues.
  • Lead and facilitate solution design reviews to ensure capacity to provide the solution and the profitability to the business, whilst ensuring client requirements are met.
  • Provide advice on the development the service level agreements (SLA) and conduct the required reviews to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Ensure the definition and implementation of standards and tools for new solution architecture and deliver continuous delivery frameworks that will promote and establish a reliable and competitive practice.
  • Recommend continuous integration for tooling to support regions with automated build, test and deployment with a focus on continuous improvement in quality delivery.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products or solutions by conducting market research supported by client engagement sessions.

  • Significant knowledge of the business and products / solutions

  • Capable of anticipating business issues and ability to develop future business plans
  • Ability to make important decisions about how to allocate resources in order to reach the organisations’ goals

  • Substantial management and leadership skills and are able to think at a conceptual level
  • Strategic thinking ability coupled with tactical operational management skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)
  • Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders at a senior level
  • Good domain expertise of the solution market

Academic qualifications and certifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or Master’s level
  • Relevant certifications

Experience required:

  • At least 7 years relevant experience in a pre-sales/sales and/or solutions practice leadership role
  • Solid experience managing and leading a team of technical and non-technical individuals
  • Solid previous experience in a technical role
  • Previous experience in proposal writing
  • Solid budget management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Significant business development experience
  • Experience of working in international business with people from different backgrounds and cultures and from different countries and regions
  • Prior experience implementing strategic and tactical initiatives that support the corporate strategy
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and the ability to deliver against tight timescales
