Job Purpose and Impact

The Transport Planner, will coordinate and plan logistics with third party providers and internal teams to ensure that customer sales orders are loaded and delivered as required and resolve any issues as they arise. In this role, you will conduct activities within our chocolate business with short term outlook, including data management, reporting and analysis, shipment execution, client interaction, business partnership, export and import duties and resource and project management.

Key Accountabilities
  • Play a key role in coordinating bulk transport in the chocolate logistics network
  • Work with third party logistics providers to ship liquid chocolate between multiple locations addressing any issues.
  • Prepare loading and delivery planning for third party transport providers and internal teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Ensure that sales order information is effectively communicated electronically to third party transport providers and work with logistics related invoices to ensure timely payment.
  • Support supply chain key performance indicators like on time delivery and maintain the action plan to reduce transport costs
  • Receive, investigate and resolve logistics related customer complaints, raising service non conformance reports and claims with third party logistics providers as appropriate.
  • Ensure that product safety, quality and hygiene standards are set and driven at all times.
  • Be a partner in strategic logistics improvement projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics planning including bulk product transportation.
  • Experience in logistics.
