Description

For our site in Ghent, we are looking for a Transportplanner. In this position you will take care of our national large scale distribution planning toghether with a senior planner.

Your tasks are:

  • Administrative follow-up of the transport orders and customer files.
  • Handling errors and complaints in an open and customer-friendly way.
  • Implementing proactive efficiency improvements.
  • Drawing up and following up the planning of the drivers.
  • Providing technical support to the drivers. In this way, you ensure that the planning of the drivers is optimal and efficient.

In order to master all of this, you will receive thorough on-the-job training.

Competences

  • Great passion for transport of goods, especially road transport.
  • Bachelor level of education and work experience.
  • Work experience in a similar function or recent graduation in logistics management.
  • Administrative work does not scare you.
  • Fluent communication in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
  • You do not have a nine-to-five mentality.
  • You have PC skills, learn an ERP system quickly and are fluent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Knowledge of the national road network is a plus
