About The Job

• The Applications Area Lead is responsible for the delivery of a major transformation program, the creation of value by the delivery of stable, flexible and sustainable services & applications in the area of BSS, OSS, (delivery value stream & network) tooling, as well as corporate applications (like ERP system (fin, supply chain & HR)). The delivery value stream (with release delivery & deployment processes) is owned by the Applications Area.
  

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include Following

• You lead a multi-disciplinary team including development, build & test disciplines where you ensure the right skills for the future will be available not only for the delivery in your own area but as well within the business for the mentioned competences in case the autonomy for changes is transferred to business squads.
• You work in an agile operating model, where in your area there are several tribes, chapters and CoE’s. An important part of your role will be to align with the tribes outside your area on priorities.
• You act as a coach and support the tribe leads, chapters and CoE leads to develop the teams’ competences, to foster talent, attract competent people, support the growth of people and a structured WoW (way of working) to ensure the delivery of stable, innovative & future proof applications enabling the delivery of customer value.
• You create a win-win strategy with external partners. You drive the Agile WoW with the partners in your chapter competences (analyze, develop, build, test, deploy).
• You work together with all the business, technology & operation teams to identify, define and align roadmaps & priorities.
• You create a vision and roadmap together with the Enterprise Architecture team to drive towards the Agile promise. You identify new trends and innovations in your expertise domain and create opportunities to tap into them.
• You are accountable for financials (OPEX + 10 mio, Capex +50 mio IT transformation, 30 mio other) & 3 year plans in line with the strategy by ensuring the right platforms and applications are selected, designed and build to support the business, by simplifying, improving & fostering common platforms and minimizing technical debt. You continuously transform the way technology is used to support our financial objectives (through revenue generation, cost efficiencies and experience) and ensure efficiency and consistency in technological choices and implementation at Telenet.
  

This Is You

• You have a master’s degree
• You’re a seasoned IT leader, with a proven track record, preferably with experience of (scaled) Agile WoW
• A proven track record in building teams and empowering people is key
• You’re a servant leader, having led teams of highly skilled professionals. You understand how to build, inspire and lead a team. If you’ve done this in an agile working environment, that’s certainly a plus.
• You have a collaborative mindset and high drive for delivery
• You work to the highest ethical standards
• You create impact through your expertise and strong communication skills
