Director, Internal Control Framework Excellence - Communications & Engagement

The Role
The Director, Internal Control Framework Excellence - Communications & Engagement works with the Global Clinical Operations Leadership Team and Global Process Owners to design, implement and embed the Communications & Engagement element of the Human Subject Research Internal Control Framework (ICF) across Clinical Operations. This role contributes to the development, improvement & simplification of new ways of working, standards and processes across the Clinical Operations organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Global Clinical Operations Leadership Team and assigned Global Process Owner(s) and a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the Clinical Operations new ways of working and processes are fully understood and effectively implemented.
- Use intelligence data from internal sources and external initiatives to identify and highlight drivers of change and drive communication and engagement focused on new ways of working and process improvements.
- Work with Global Clinical Operations Leadership Team and Global Process Owners to create plans and content for effective communication, and engagement of the global organization.
- Support the implementation of new ways of working and the Internal Control framework for Human Subject Research and steer change management related to new ways of working and Standards and ensure the execution of operations.
- Provide trends and other relevant reporting to the Global Clinical Operations Leadership Team and Global Process Owners and help ‘translate’ trends to enable ‘smart risk taking,’ embedding of new ways of working, and process improvement.
- Ensure that any feedback or findings from Town Halls, Focus Groups, Surveys, Audits, Independent Business Monitoring Assessments & Regulatory Inspections impacting Clinical Operations ways of working and processes are analysed for root cause and that fit for purpose, realistic, clear, and timely communications and engagements are created and implemented.
- In collaboration with the Global Clinical Operations Leadership Team and other senior stakeholders, support communication and engagement efforts with Global consortia/external stakeholders.
- Partner with counterparts within the clinical landscape (in Development and R&D) to ensure a transversal aligned and consistent approach to communications and engagement strategy.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree in Scientific or related discipline.
- A broad understanding of scientific/ pharmaceutical/ vaccines industry research and development
- Significant experience in designing and implementing communication and engagement strategies and programs related to ways of working and process change in a regulated environment, including:
- Communication analysis
- Demographic analysis
- Understanding of modern communication methods and styles
- Ability to craft messaging for a global audience
- Masters Degree in Strategic Communications.
- Ability to interact and influence with key internal and external stakeholders in a matrix environment.
