The Opportunity ...

Duties And Responsibilities

As an electrical design engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design of the machine for our customers. You work closely with other electrical and mechanical designers to determine the concept of the machine. You create and maintain your electrical drawings in E-plan, making sure that your drawings are conform with the latest standards that apply (worldwide).

You create the bill of materials to be ordered for the machine and follow up with your colleagues from electrical assembly to guide them through the project and listen to their feedback to make each machine a bit better and more efficient.

When the machine is assembled, you assist the automation people with I/O checking and support the service technicians with issues they have onside.

You support the aftermarket team with offering electrical items that need to be replaced with an alternative component and assist with the quotation of electrical rebuild on existing machines.

You will report to the lead engineer controls

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in electrics/ electromechanics (…) or have enough relevant experience working in a machine building environment. Electrical designs and schematics have no secrets for you.
  • You have expertise in designing electrical drawings in E-plan.
  • Practical experience in an electrical workshop or service function is a plus.
  • Besides the electrical aspects of the machines, we are looking for an engineer with experience in the machine directive, and the required electrical safety functions on a machine. Experience with designing cabinets according to UL is a plus.
  • You are a team player that likes to work together with other engineers in other disciplines and has a positive attitude
  • You have an eye for quality, safety and work in a structured way towards an end result with the aim of continuous improvement.
  • You communicate fluently with your colleagues and customers in Dutch and English.
