E2 Drives is preparing the market launch of its first generation of motors and starts working on a second generation of motors to enlarge the eBike motor offer. The tech company is based in Wavre and can count on a team of 20 young, dynamic and smart professionals.

What will be your role?

At E2 Drives, our mission is to amplify human movement.

We are currently seeking a specialist in electric motor design to join our mechanical team. The person will be responsible for the design and development of brushless electric motors for our electric bike propulsion system.

Your main responsibilities

• Design customized electric motors for electric propulsion systems, taking into account specifications for performance, weight, efficiency, and manufacturing cost.
• Consider precise specifications to design electric motors that meet the requirements of electric propulsion applications.
• Perform electromagnetic and thermal simulations to facilitate technical decision-making in the design of electric motors.
• Participate actively in coordination with suppliers for the industrial development of electric motors.
• Participate in motor prototyping phases and conduct tests to validate motor specifications and performance.
• Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in electric motors, controls, and manufacturing methods to stay up-to-date in their field of expertise.

What is your profile?

• Engineering degree or equivalent in the field of electric motor design.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in brushless electric motor design.
• Experience using electromagnetic simulation software such as Flux.
• Knowledge of motor control strategies and electronic constraints related to the controller.
• Experience in designing electric motors for mass market applications at the industrial level, preferably in the electric mobility sector.
• Fluent and technical English skills to communicate with suppliers and partners, at least a basic understanding of French.
