E2 Drivesis a young engineering company active in electric mobility. E2 Drives is specialized in mechanics, electronics, electric motor design and embedded control. In recent years, they developed an innovative and disruptivepowertrainforelectric bikes. This patented technology offers comfort, robustness and performance to the cyclist thanks to its all-in-one and internalautomatic gearboxdesign. E2 Drives mission is to revolutionize the way people are commuting, thanks to its disruptive eBike propulsion system. E2 Drives recently concluded a partnership withDecathlonand plans to become aebike motor leader in the coming years

E2 Drives is preparing the market launch of its first generation of motors and starts working on a second generation of motors to enlarge the eBike motor offer. The tech company is based in Wavre and can count on a team of 20 young, dynamic and smart professionals.

What will be your role?

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical team here in Wavre.

You will be in charge of bringing our next generation of drive units to life but also working on future innovation projects that follow our mission: Amplifying human power. You will report directly to the Mechanical team lead but will collaborate with our other teams on a daily basis: Test & Validation, Software or Hardware/Electronics.

Your main responsibilities as a Mechanical Engineer

  • Utilize Solidworks or other software to create complex 3D models and generate detailed engineering drawings to develop our new electric drive systems.
  • Conduct mechanical simulations and thermal analyses using Ansys software or similar tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and insights.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in electric drive systems, CAD software, and simulation tools.
  • Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain proper documentation of design changes.

What is your profile?

  • A master’s degree in Engineering or specialised mechanical design discipline.
  • Proficiency in CAD modelling and engineering drawings. Specifically design of complex 3D parts for moulding processes (plastic injection and aluminium die-casting)
  • You are familiar with mechanical simulation and thermal simulation tools, such as Ansys or equivalent.
  • At least a first relevant experience in this field (1-2 years’ of experience)
  • Fluent in French and/or English with at least a good understanding of the other language.
