Oversees operational teams dedicated to guaranteeing the smooth, rapid release and high quality of STS products. Responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the software development pipelines (aka CI/CD, DevOps, Build pipelines) which include the environments, processes and tools used to move products from developer workstation to delivered customer value. Includes the monitoring, remediation and incremental improvements of automated development pipelines, applicable to on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Has responsibility for operational infrastructure, quality control, release management, software development pipeline operations, and developer-centric help desk. Operational infrastructure includes on-premise assets, virtualization systems, and development services as well as assets located in commercial cloud environments. On-premise assets include hardware and software assets located in legacy office locations as well as Siemens datacenters (e.g., Shannon, Wilsonville). These assets are managed through a close relationship with the relevant IT/TechOps organizations.

Responsible for overall business continuity of all operations related to the continuous integration and deployment of all STS products. This includes both infrastructure and personnel coverage. Works closely with the Simcenter Security team to ensure security vulnerabilities are monitored and addressed.


Develops a full understanding of the development pipelines of each STS product and the needs of the Solution Domains & SC Horizontal Products staff, supporting each product by working closely with Solution Domain & SC Horizontal Products colleagues. Works with the CI/CD Process & Architecture Senior Manager to improve and consolidate operational processes and development pipelines across STS.


Manages the organization and staffing of teams relevant to these responsibilities at a scale and geographic distribution to support STS operations globally. Key components of this are activities related to hiring, employee feedback, and employee growth.
