Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Officer

Your Tasks

As a member of the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs department, you and your colleagues are responsible in obtaining and complying with applicable legal, regulatory and compliance requirements of the industries MCAM globally serves, ensuring that products are manufactured and distributed in compliance with appropriate legislation, contributing to the success of the company. More concretely you are responsible for:

• Developing your own knowledge in all national and international laws and regulations that apply to the industries MCAM works in by studying scientific and legal documents related to product requirements and dual-use export control;
• Organizing, doing follow up and evaluating testing programs for all products manufactured in the European MCAM facilities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements (REACH, SVHC, RoHs, food contact compliance, potable water compliance, forbidden substances, biocompatibility…);
• Executing and monitoring controls necessary to ensure Export Control compliance;
• Preparing and completing correct and accurate product information documentation, in line with company strategy and targets, to compliance & regulatory affairs related questions raised by customers;
• Collecting and evaluating all regulatory related information from raw material suppliers;
• Assisting in performing periodic risk assessments including reviews of the impact of new regulations on the MCAM product portfolio;
• Providing guidance and training to employees on policies and procedures to safeguard compliance with MCAM’s Product Regulations, Global Sanctions & Export Control Strategy;
• Maintaining records of information in the appropriate databases;
• Contributing to the optimization of systems and procedures to improve efficiency;

Your skills

• You have a Master’s degree, preferably in Chemistry, Legalor equivalent by experience;
• 5 years of experience in Compliance & Regulatory Affairs in a multinational, manufacturing organizationis a great plus;
• You have a great knowledge of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs or are willing to delve into it;
• You are highly interested in technical products and their specifications;
• You have a good knowledge of English for communication throughout the organization, additional language skills are a plus;
• You are a good communicator, within your team, across departments and all over the world;
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office;
• Planning & Prioritizing and analytical skills are your core competencies;
• You arewilling to travelto other sites a few times a year;
