Our Client specializes in financial services, accounting, and payroll solutions, providing tailored support in financial management, tax compliance, and employee benefits, and is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant / Financial Controller!

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing monthly closing activities, financial calculations, and financial and personnel-related matters. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company, overseeing financial processes, and supporting employee-related policies. Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly closing activities (accruals, intercompany transactions, etc.).
  • Perform actual costing calculations and provide financial insights.
  • Follow up on interest for late payments and ensure timely resolution.
  • Process payment deferrals for customers and monitor payments.
  • Debtor follow-up: transmit received payments, reconcile accounts, and send trader lists, statements, and interest notes.
  • Provide backup for finance tasks such as hedging USD, withdrawing SLs, and managing SWAPS.
  • Monitor factoring processes and manage related follow-ups.
  • Oversee the Protime system and ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Handle general personnel inquiries and provide guidance.
  • Coordinate with the social secretariat on Joint Committee.
  • Monitor and manage group insurance for employees.
  • Assist in the development of personnel policies in consultation with the CEO.
  • Support the expansion of the mobility budget and related employee benefits.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in accounting, financial control, and payroll (6+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of monthly closing processes, costing, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in financial systems and MS Office tools.
  • Ability to manage both financial and personnel-related tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
