Join our company as the Financial Controller, where you will play a crucial leadership role within the regional finance team and be a part of the international group. In this role, you will share responsibility for local plant strategy setting and reporting. Additionally, this position plays a key role in fostering a data-driven culture, standardizing monthly reporting and focusing on actionable insights. Responsibilities & Key Tasks

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Manage statutory financial reporting, IFRS reporting, management reporting and tax filing processes
  • Develop and maintain relevant policies and control environment
  • Develop and manage the local forecasting processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and long term plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Promote data-driven decision making within the finance team and the broader organization
  • Ensure data quality, consistency and accessibility across all financial processes, aligned to the local and group requirements
  • Monitor both financial and operational Key Performance Indicators to measure progress and take timely action on deviations
  • Manage costs, inventory control and budgeting to support strategic priorities and agile decision making
  • Prepare and deliver monthly presentations, providing insights on performance, trends and strategic recommendations
  • Deliver IFRS and other financial reporting packages to support the group IFRS consolidation and FP&A processes
  • Standardize monthly reports to ensure consistency, clarity and actionable insights
  • Collaborate with the group finance team and cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives and achieve impactful results

Process Optimalization, Innovation & Development

  • Identify and implement technological and automated solutions to improve financial processes
  • Lead process optimization initiatives to improve scalability and effectiveness of financial operations
  • Leverage predictive analytics and Business Intelligence tools to improve reporting and enable proactive decision making

Leadership & Coaching

  • Build a high-quality local finance team that supports both the local operation and the group with forward-looking, strategic financial insights
  • Lead, develop and manage the local finance team, fostering collaboration, accountability and professional growth
Qualifications, Competences & Experience
  • A completed education at the bachelor’s or master’s level, in a relevant field and an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent)
  • At least 10 years of experience in a financial controller role within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge/experience of business controlling, budget management and cost control
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), BI tools such as Power BI and other manufacturing related software solutions. Experience in ERP implementation would be a bonus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively motivate and support teams through coaching, training and mentoring
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in Dutch and English is required
  • Problem solving skills and a hands-on mentality to tackle challenges quickly and efficiently
  • Persuasive and smooth communication with various stakeholders and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving thinking
  • Know how to handle change. The site is in startup and constantly changing
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines while adapting to multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to think and act strategically in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Technologically savvy with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
