As part of our Zeebrugge team, the Inventory Support Officer is responsible for managing fruit inventory in Belgium, making sure the 3PL’s handles inventory in line with Zespri’s requirements to secure the logistics flow from supply to outbound.

Main accountabilities for the role include

• Work in cooperation with our 3PL and supply them with required information and documentation to ensure they can perform the agreed activities
• Take care of vessel & container operational discharge planning for Zeebrugge to ensure unloading of the fruit is done by our 3PL in line with Zespri’s demand and Zespri’s operational guide (cool store manual)
• Set configuration & inventory parameters to keep the inventory information up to date for operational handling
• Ensure the loading of shipments is done with our load out principles (FIFO and/or other parameters)
• Communicate and align with different stakeholders on customer requirements and fulfillment of orders
• Follow up on inventory in our external packhouses and secure outbound and inbound aligned with planning
• Create & follow up on inventory reporting & KPI’s based on operation handling.
• Communicate and advise on inventory with different stakeholders including but not limited to: SC/Ops team, 3PL, IBP, Customer support/Sales
• Liaise with team members and stakeholders to provide the best outcome of our fruit towards quality, aging stock, etc.
• Support and cooperate with the Operations & logistics manager and support colleagues. Act as a back-up for colleagues in the team during absence.
  

• MS Office and preferably knowledge of warehouse & quality management systems (WMS)
• Show initiative, are eager to learn, works well together in a team, can work independent
• Fluent Dutch and English. Knowledge of another European language (Spanish, Italian, French,...) is a plus
• First steps or experienced level on warehouse & planning activities.
• Strong understanding how good operational inventory handling & planning has a positively impacts the entire supply chain
• Good collaboration skills for liaising with different team members, 3PL partners & other internal stakeholders
• Ability to apply right analysis based on information available with a comprehensive outcome.
• Experience with end-to-end supply chain systems and technical solutions is an added value.
