Logistics Project Engineer

The challenge:
You will be the key SPOC for projects and improvement initiatives within the logistics team of Hoegaarden, with stakeholders both within as outside of the brewery.
Furthermore, you’ll be monitoring our warehouse outlook, working closely together with transport and inventory deployment teams in our business service center of Prague as well as the logistic network (Leuven brewery, Jupille brewery, external warehouse, zone logistic support teams, …), together aligning and executing the transport plan taking into account several KPI’s such as service level towards customers, loading activity and warehouse utilization.

The role:

  • Brewery SPOC for the transport and inventory deployment planning towards Prague.
  • In charge of personnel planning within logistics department as well as hiring and maintaining healthy interim pool.
  • Support the roll-out and sustainability of VPO (= ABI management system & methods) in the logistics team.
  • Identify, roll-out and implement best practices based on benchmarking/good practice sharing with the ABI network
  • Develop training programs related to Warehouse key personnel; deliver technical training and provide implementation tools (templates, policies instructions etc) to ensure successful implementation of best practice.
  • Implement strategic concepts to reduce costs and increase service level according to local/zone requirements
  • Analyze KPIs, challenge the performance of operations & identify best practices.
  • Follow-up various projects which will be running in parallel.
  • Improving and/or resolving issues linked to processes related to logistic scope within the brewery

Qualifications


Who we’re looking for:

  • University degree in Engineering or Business and/or Technical Education in Supply Chain & Logistics
  • Relevant experience of 2 years in logistics
  • Profound knowledge of logistic operations
  • Transport specs & warehouse costs understanding
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Financial understanding, business knowledge and strategic thinking capability
  • Leadership skills, a strong team player with the ability to persuade and influence
