As our Product Security Officer, you are part of the Security Office, a team of four colleagues, located in our headquarter office at Kortrijk.

You oversee cybersecurity and privacy risks related to the product lifecycle. We have international product teams working in an agile development context. Our products range from embedded devices to cloud deployed services and call on your broad technical knowledge. To assure the security and privacy of our products, you provide advice and give support to our product teams. You are closely aligned to the operational product security roles within the Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • You contribute to the product security and privacy strategy (“security/privacy by design”). You manage and improve this in line with Barco’s information security objectives, consolidated in a Product Security Roadmap.
  • You execute product security risk assessments in context of ISO27k risk management. You drive mitigation in product design, development and deployment processes.
  • You contribute to product security incident, vulnerability disclosure processes and exception management processes.
  • You contribute to security/privacy related processes during pre-sales phase and ensure involved commercial people are properly trained on security/privacy.
  • You provide and contribute to security awareness training for specialized topics, such as secure software development. You promote Barco’s security/privacy posture on product level in interviews, webinars, articles, ...

Your profile
  • A degree in information security management would be nice, but experience rules. Maybe you hold certifications like GIAC, CISSP or CISM. Tell us what you’ve got.
  • You bring solid risk management skills. You have experience with ISO 2700x frameworks, third-party auditing and (cloud) risk assessment methodologies.
  • Security protocols, cryptography, authentication and authorization are known concepts.
  • You are used to working in a Linux environment, with open source development, virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Experience from a development perspective (defensive side) is a bonus. Even better when it’s within Healthcare product development.
  • You are a good communicator, both written and verbally. You are customer-oriented and can impact multiple organization levels and executive management.
