As a Production Manager, Logistics (washing) in the MPU (Manufacturing Production Unit) Rotarix, you supervise day to day activities, managing a team of 12 operators and 4 technicians. You are responsible for activities and resources engaged in the production process and for their continuous optimization.

Your Responsibilities

• You co-ordinate manpower targets, resources and skills;
• You evaluate capacities (employees and machines) necessary to the completion of the production plan;
• You manage day to day vaccines operations (Logistics) to cope with demand;
• You are responsible for the application of the GSKBio strategy and its development in your production unit;
• You ensure that facility, equipment and staff are appropriately designed and trained to ensure production activities as well as to facilitate transfer of new processes;
• You make sure that facility is properly managed in accordance with highest quality standards, including Security and (Bio) Safety aspects. You ensure compliance of operations with GMP and Authorities requirements;
• You monitor quality of the production in close collaboration with Quality Control department and take corrective actions when necessary. You are responsible for implementing Operational Excellence process in the facility;
• You apply the recommended processes and continuously anticipate potential improvements of current processes while assuring compliance with the Change Management procedures;
• You are responsible for representation of Facility Activities during External Audits (FDA, WHO, National Health Authorities);
• You provide technical support to direct reports.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Bio Engineer or University degree in sciences or equivalent acquired through experience;
• At least 3 years experience in vaccines/pharmaceutical production or specific production unit.
  

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:

• Advanced knowledge in supply chain management, processes, biopharmaceuticals technologies;
• Good knowledge of GMP for biological products;
• Knowledge of Logistics processes is an asset;
• Good level of written and spoken English.
