What does the role involve?

As part of the BENE asset management team you are responsible for the end-to-end follow-up and analysis of the financial operations of our BENE portfolio which currently consists out of 22 assets (app. 800.000 sqm) which are leased to 38 customers. Together with the technical and commercial team you are the back-bone of our property operations which provides excellent customer service. You will be the first point of contact for our customers regarding all financial topics and will be the go-to person within our organisation regarding financial property matters. Striving for continuous quality and efficiency improvements throughout this journey is a must.

Next To This You Will Also
  • Prepare yearly operation budgets/plans on asset level and provide crucial data for the yearly asset plans;
  • Drive the monthly/quarterly rent-roll process which accounts for an annual rental income of more than €15.000.000;
  • Be in charge of all customer receivables, ensuring timely payment, avoid potential legal disputes, charge late-payment fees;
  • Prepare and send out all purchase orders for all property-level required works which are part of the technical and commercial operations;
  • Manage recharges of all incurred property-level cost (maintenance, energy etc) to customers, and drive the yearly service charge reconciliation process;
  • Translate and understand the financial part of (new) leases so it can be uploaded into our financial and property management tools;
  • Drive signature approval process for all legal documents (lease contracts, contract agreements etc);
  • Be responsible for indexation calculation of new and running leases, prepare rental increase letters, periodical review of required (bank) guarantees and take actions in case of incompliance;
  • Drive identification and implementation of improvements to analytics-related systems and processes
Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial personality with a finance / technical degree with a strong affinity for finance – first experience in a real estate company is a plus;
  • A hands-on mentality and a problem solver;
  • Strongly developed sense of responsibility, feeling for financial results, quality, organization and planning;
  • Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people, from warehouse employees to CFO level;
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and easily adapts new software tools;
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English;
