RAN Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect with a solid 4G/5G background, who will be responsible to secure the customer satisfaction of the contracted solutions, secure top performances and perform 5G/4G trials, define parameters and features baseline, troubleshooting and design of new sites. As a solution architect you will also be responsible for analyzing, designing and developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for the customers. In this role, you will also be accountable for providing profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions and proposals.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive 5G/4G trials execution from an end-to-end perspective, engaging with other areas as Core, Integration and Transmission.
• 5G/4G features and parameters baseline definition.
• 5G/4G network end to end optimization.
• Knowledge acquisition from the PDU and knowledge transfer to the local NDO team.
• Scope, define and design solution offerings, driving end-to-end technical solutions
• Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis
• Secure customer alignment with Ericsson recommendations
• Work with project sponsors and commercial team on list of potential activities and solutions
• Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations
• Provide feedback to R&D
• Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing
• Stay abreast on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in telecommunication engineering or equivalent
• Minimum years of experience: 7-10 years of experience in RAN Telecommunication similar customer facing role
• Domain experience: 3GPP RAN including 5G NR radio, IP at application level, VoLTE, benchmarking, 3GPP call flow analysis, performance improvement
• References about already delivered performance improvement activities are required.
• A Solution Architect candidate is assessed according to the following tracks:
  • RAN Domain, Ericsson HW/SW, E2E, Network Optimization/Network Design, performance knowledge.
  • Team working in multicultural multi skills environment
  • Proficient in English, Dutch is a plus
  • Capacity to lead people and project
  • Accountability
  • Willingness to change status-quo

Position is based in Brussels (Belgium)
