St Andrew’s is a 240-bed facility with eleven state of the art operating theatre suites and we cater for most surgical specialties including, but not limited to, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, vascular, urology, colorectal, orthopaedics, breast and gynaecology and the busiest (da Vinci) Robotics unit in Australia.

We have multiple opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our Theatre team.

Relevant post graduate qualifications will attract an additional hourly allowance. Please see the attached document outlining our rates of pay and staff benefits.

Hours
  • Full time, part time and casual arrangements will be considered
  • Predominantly Monday to Friday work, along with occasional weekend standby and on call.
About You

Our ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ recent experience as a Perioperative Registered Nurse and a strong commitment to ensuring patient safety and delivering person centered care.

In addition to your recent and extensive experience, you will need to demonstrate:
  • well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to adapt quickly within a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound reasoning and judgement skills
  • commitment to your continued professional development
  • an interest in mentoring and educating our up-and-coming nursing students and graduates
  • the ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • current registration with AHPRA.
