Senior Construction Manager Electromobility

Are you ready to lead exciting projects that shape the future of sustainable mobility? Join the Electromobility team, where you’ll oversee the development of ultra-fast charging stations and associated facilities, such as convenience stores and fast food restaurants, across Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: You will manage the successful execution of multiple projects across Belgium (both Flanders and Wallonia), from construction preparation to final handover. You’ll coordinate and guide a team of site and project managers, ensuring smooth progress on every site.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with external contractors, architects, engineering firms, and other partners to finalize budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee all aspects of construction.
• Investment & Budgeting: Work closely with the Construction Team Leader and Business Unit Manager to ensure a positive internal investment decision. You’ll manage budgets and financials, monitoring costs and ensuring the efficient use of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Construction Oversight: Monitor the quality, safety, and timely completion of projects, ensuring they stay on track and within budget. Provide periodic reports on both technical progress and financial performance.
• Project Handover: Once construction is complete, you’ll oversee the seamless transfer of the sites to our operational partners, ensuring everything is in place for the fast charging stations and associated businesses to run smoothly.
• Team Support: Offer guidance and support to the development team during project design, budgeting, and site visits for potential new locations.

Your profile

• Qualifications: You have a Master’s degree in a technical field (engineering, electrical, or related) or equivalent experience.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, ideally in the technical or infrastructure sectors. Proven experience managing technical teams is essential.
• Languages: You are fluent in Dutch and have professional proficiency in French (both written and spoken). Knowledge of English is a plus.
• Skills: Strong experience in contract management, with a clear ability to negotiate complex contracts. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must.
• Work Style: You are flexible, result-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively. You can work independently, managing multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail. You are highly responsible, structured, and capable of leading projects to successful completion.
