Senior Warehouse Manager

Job purpose:

As Senior Warehouse Manager, you are responsible for activities such as ordering, supply, delivery and shipment of materials and finished goods. This includes volume and demand planning, master scheduling, buyer analysis, order management, production scheduling, marketing logistics, customer fulfilment and inventory management. It also covers international distribution, logistics and customer liaison for shipment of completed product to end customers.

In this role you will…

  • Organize and oversee the efficient receipt, storage, order pick and pack and dispatch of goods as per the GSK quality and security standards and legal requirements
  • Monitor organization of shipments and liaise with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) when necessary
  • Oversee customs clearance processes to ensure compliance with customs and tax regulations
  • Maintain relations with customs authorities regarding the customs licences
  • Investigate and resolve warehouse related incidents, deviations, analysis of trends and corrective actions
  • Ensure all warehouse processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and working instructions are in line with Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and local laws and regulations and are updated regularly
  • Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met with oversight for the security of the warehouse
  • Responsible for recruitment, development, management and motivation of warehouse staff.
  • Manage the maintenance of the facility, equipment and system to ensure they comply with applicable quality and security standards
  • Ensure all warehouse related contracts are Trade Partner Organization (TPO) compliant and reviewed as per plan
  • Ensure proper stock management and optimal utilization of warehouse space aligning and reconciling inventory, stock counts and stock write-offs
  • Prepare the warehouse budget and ensure costs are aligned to budget
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a weekly and monthly basis reviewing warehouse KPIs and performance according to the targets

  • Master degree
  • 5 years of experience in Logistics and Distribution
  • Experience with Warehouse management
  • Experience managing import/export deviations

  • Demonstrated learning and change agility
  • Lean / six-sigma skills
