The Field Marketing Specialist is a key role in VMware’s dynamic and award-winning Marketing Organization. You will be required to collaborate with VMware colleagues, partners and customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg to drive demand generation programs around VMware’s solutions (including digital marketing), manage the lead follow-up process and fuel awareness and emotive references.
We ask that you have a validated understanding of what it takes to create, in corporation with EMEA marketing colleagues, joint demand generation campaigns with a clear return on investment in terms of leads and pipeline. In this role, you are a main contributor to the Benelux Marketing Team, EMEA Solution Marketing team, EMEA Digital Marketing team and the EMEA Customer References organization.
You will lead digital communications in the Benelux where you interact with the EMEA digital marketing team, localize digital communications for the Benelux market, and drive a strong and relevant digital communications calendar.
With our colleagues and partners, you are responsible to identify customers that are willing to act as a VMware reference, and next manage the process to create emotive customer references that influence and change the perception of VMware in the Benelux market. For this role, we are looking for a candidate with good planning and execution skills and digital marketing skills. Building relationships with both partners and Internal VMware stakeholders is key.
Job Responsibilities & Key Objectives
- Plan and execute demand generation campaigns, including online and digital campaigns in cooperation with EMEA solution marketing and EMEA digital comms colleagues
- Initiate, plan and manage VMware events (both online and physical) in the Benelux
- Support EMEA events and fuel sales, technical and executive engagement
- Manage, in close cooperation with VMware sales colleagues, the lead follow-up process to generate new opportunities and closed business
- Closely track priority critical metrics including the Sales Accepted Leads, lead follow-up time and pipeline contribution so we can demonstrate the impact our Benelux marketing efforts are having on pipeline and revenue
- Work with VMware sale and VMware partner in driving Customer Advocacy and identifying Marquee references
- Working with the EMEA reference team execute on the customer reference process to generate emotive Benelux reference stories that change the perception of VMware in the Benelux market
Skills & Requirements
- Native level of Dutch/Flemish + fluent level of English (French is a plus)
- Marketing background or across Benelux field marketing experience
- Experience in executing marketing campaigns and measuring their impact with clear important metrics
- Passionate about contributing to a fast-growing business, be a professional marketing partner for our Benelux team
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills
- 2+ years of meaningful work experience in marketing and/or demand generation ideally in high-technology companies in cloud, enterprise software, infrastructure and/or security software space
- Running marketing events (logistics, contracts, invites, set-up)
- Strong presentation skills and comfortable presenting to external audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or meaningful field of study
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required
- High-energy, can-do attitude
- Innovative spirit generating new creative roads to success
- Cross-group teamwork, creative thinking, problem-solving and willingness to act with due analysis to back it up
