Gaming1’s finance department is made up of a team of around 20 people dedicated to accounting, management control, purchasing, and financial planning and analysis. As part of their professional development and international growth strategy, our accounting team are looking for a Financial Controller - Group.

YOUR ROLE

You will lead many initiatives to support our professionalization: consolidation, reporting, statutory accounting, fast closing, IFRS, etc.

• Manage subsidiaries’ accounting (Europe, USA, LATAM, etc.)
• Prepare the monthly/quarterly and annual closing: monitor financial statements, speed up processes, support external audits
• Implement and maintain process and controls to ensure financial reports are reliable and make sure the team adheres to these procedures
• Support the team with the company’s tax obligations (VAT, corporate tax, etc.)
• Group Consolidation (international scope)
• Support the Group consolidation process: analyze subsidiaries’ financial reports, intercompany transactions, etc.
• Implement controls to ensure our consolidated financial statements are reliable
• Prepare Monthly Reports shared with Shareholders and the Board of Directors
• Projects
• Help the accounting team use the new ERP (Microsoft D365) properly by directly working with the team’s key-users
• Identify the areas for improvement and implement solutions (P2P, reports, intercompany reconciliations, etc.)
• Get involved in IFRS transition and our future IPO
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s in finance, accounting, economics or any other subject that is useful for this role
• 5+ years’ experience in a position involving both finance and accounting
• Good knowledge of accounting and closing processes
• Knowledge of Begaap regulations (IFRS is a plus)
• IT-minded and an expert in Excel
• Familiar with Consolidation is a plus and being driven to learn new things is a must
• Excellent command of French and English. Knowledge of Dutch, Spanish or another language is a plus
• Proactive and a team player
• Performance driven and able to meet deadlines
• Honest, reliable and discreet
• Assertive and good communication skills
• Analytical mind, attention to detail and very precise, all while being able to adopt an objective overview of a situation
• Able to adapt to a constantly evolving dynamic environment
