Controller

The Financial/Business Controller will take responsibility for providing relevant & timely financial information to the management to enable a balanced and objective management assessment on the achievement of objectives. The Controller will be part of the Finance Team and reports directly to the VP Finance, subsequently to the President/COO of the EMEA Operations.

What is your mission?

• The preparation of monthly reports, financial analyses, KPI status reports including financial assessment on the operational results.

• The preparation of a 5-year financial plan, the annual budget, and the forecasting in collaboration with the different management functions.

• Monitoring of periodic financing operations of assets in interaction and their impact on treasury.

• The development of financial modeling tools integrated into various management applications, promoting the automation and simplification of processes.

• Projecting specific business cases or analyses at the request of operational departments, management, or shareholders.

• Establishment of manufacturing/logistic ( Technical Operations) cost controls for increased productivity as well as validating commercial actions, monitoring of financial margins while respecting budgets, considering changes in market assumptions.

• Detecting of opportunities and risks based on contact with the different management functions and departments, understanding the operational business environment.

• Assuring correct provisions are being made, applying established Trade Terms and Allowances Policies/ Conditions.

Requirements

• With an analytical mind, you demonstrate rigor and precision.

• As an expert in Excel and BI tools, you have a great sense for numbers

• You are an autonomous worker, result and solution-oriented while integrating unforeseen requests or changes in objectives ensuring deadlines are respected.

• Stress resistance is a must, while ready to invest in aiming for the "extra mile".

• As a good communicator, you develop your analysis in a clear and precise manner, and you do not hesitate to challenge operational department managers.

• Being a team player, you collaborate with peers to achieve organizational goals.

• Proficiency in Dutch and English is a given. German and/or French language skills are a plus.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.

• CPA or CMA preferably.

• Experience of at least 3 years as a financial consultant, financial controller, or business analyst.

• Expertise in Excel / Access and BI tools.

• Knowledge of SAP FI / CO, SAS and SQL is a plus.
