YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Global trade service team is recruiting for an open position as a Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist. Join our team and begin your journey towards moving people with passion and innovation!

Are you constantly looking for opportunities to perfect your knowledge and skill set?
If so, then this is what you’ll do:
Support daily operations specific to imports, exports, compliance audits and supply chain security processes executions (e.g. AEO)
Act as the main customs and trade compliance (technical reference) point of contact for your country support (business and local teams)
Work with Global Trade Services (GTS) solution implementation team to define / modify the country-specific processes variances needed
Establish and maintain proper business relations with your region counterparts and related operational teams, suppliers, solution providers, government and customs authorities
Identify and maintain your country requirements to maintain international trade compliance (current + trend monitoring)
Identify opportunities for cost reduction or duty saving
Support the Global Trade Services (GTS) structure implementation in your country
Implement different compliance policies defined by the Global Trade Services (GTS) lead in your region
Capture, consolidate, evaluate and act on your country key performance indicators
Share your successes and opportunities for improvement with your counterparts to contribute to continuous improvement
Monitor and report your country trade compliance risks and opportunities
Influence and train your country business counterparts on customs issues, trade compliance risks and opportunities
Support your country customs and compliance audits execution (internal and external) and lead the improvement recommendations
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
3 to 5 years of experience in region / country specific customs and trade compliance management functions
Licensed custom broker certification an asset
Accredited Trade Compliance certification an asset
In-depth regulatory knowledge as they relate to the specific country including HS-classification, taxation on import, export, Free Trade Agreements (MX, CA, UK, etc.), trade compliance, valuation, (FTA), etc.
Good understanding of trade compliance terminology
Experience in project management and change management an asset
Previous experience in a matrix organization an asset
Fluent in English and Dutch, any other languages skills an asset
Open to travel to other facilities in his region and to other international location when needed
This position is based in Ghent, Belgium.
