Our growth and success are driven by the passion and dedication of everyone here in the EVBox family.About The RoleWe are looking for someone to advance EVBox’s Public Policy agenda in Europe in support of its Electric Vehicle charging business. You will report to the CEO, and work closely with global and regional policy teams and cross-functional partners to help make EVBox’s zero-emission vision become a reality.The Director Of European Policy Has The Following Responsibilities

• Devise advocacy strategies and policy positions to advance EVBox’s EV Charging European public policy agenda;
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Management; Product Development; Finance; Business Development; Operations; and other teams in pursuit of market expansion and sound regulations;
• Working alongside regional policy colleagues, leverage existing EVBox & Engie resources to help pass favorable ordinances, shape responses to RFPs, influence regulations, and achieve favorable public policy outcomes while helping to defeat adverse policy proposals.
• Track, monitor and analyze regional, national and European (EU) legislation, international standard development initiatives. Spot risks to the business while finding creative paths to public policy success;
• Maintaining strong, enduring strategic relationships with regulators, legislators and staff, trade associations, consumer groups, EV associations, and other stakeholders in policy and tech discussions;
• Participating and representing the company in industry working groups and public forums that promote the electric vehicle charging experience and electric vehicle adoption;
• Help educate your colleagues on the strategic importance of EV charging policies to EVBox’s business goals, maintain an active awareness of the competitive landscape, and serve as a general port-of-call for all things related to EV charging public policy in the European region.

• RFPs won (with support)
• Competitive advantage on technology (with EVBox influence)

Qualifications

• Ideally, you would have 8+ years of experience in the public policy field and a demonstrated record of advocacy success.
• Leadership experience in a technology company or trade associations and/or knowledge of electromobility or electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
• Experience in the broader energy or mobility industry is a plus.
• Good understanding of technology and the ability to translate and communicate complex technical issues to regulators
• Deep knowledge of EU policy making processes
• Executive presence, soft skills, and communication ability.
• Ideal candidate is positive, collaborative, organized, and eager to be persistent to achieve objectives
• Strategic thinker, problem solver and active go getter in one.
• A strong network among EU and national policymakers and relevant stakeholders.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English (fluent). Additional European languages are a plus.
• Cultural and political sensitivity, with a proven ability to take an inclusive approach by working internationally with central, regional and country organizations.
• The ability to work well cross-functionally, earning and keeping your colleagues’ trust and goodwill.
• This role is based in Brussels, with frequent collaboration with EVBox HQ (Amsterdam).
