The job: Finance ManagerWe are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join us at our site in Geel. In this role you will be expected to develop into a strong business partner of the Site Leader by initiating and implementing actions to increase earnings and cash flow, actively participating in all key operation initiatives and creating awareness as to the business issues and opportunities. In addition, this role will provide guidance to the Finance Director on operations strategy regarding production cost management and productivity improvements, inventory management, footprint optimization and capital expenditures, and create/maintain site forecast and AOP.Division Specific InformationThis role is in Geel, BE – supporting Geel production site within the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD).What will you do?- Participate at monthly close, by doing controlling activities, calculating accruals and BS review
- Drive rigorous and transparent financial reporting (including savings on productivity improvements, scrap, freight, distribution cost, inventory, production volume, overhead spending), run the site FP&A function
- Lead development of annual budget (AOP), develop monthly/quarterly forecast for the site while owning and partnering on key lines on Operations P&L (Manufacturing spend, Scrap, E&O, Inventory Adjustments, PPV & Other variances to Standard cost)
- Lead and develop finance organization of 5 FTEs responsible for General/Cost accounting, FP&A activities, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, Inter-Company transactions.
- Maintain and test site Internal controls (SOX) ensuring compliance and implementing corrective actions where required
- Ensure adherence to Divisional Approval Authority Matrix/Corporate accounting policies
- Lead Site’s CAPEX requests preparation, review, and submission for approvals
- Perform or lead special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required
- Lead the yearly standard cost price renewal
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required. A Master’s Degree and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred
- Manufacturing/Distribution experience
- An understanding of Cost Accounting is preferred
- Former leadership experience or managerial experience of a team is essential
- Progressive experience as a financial leader with an operational focus is strongly desired
