Data Analyst

As a leading telecommunications and entertainment company, Telenet has over 7 million customer interactions, 100 internal Telenet and BASE branches in Belgium and over 1,500 employees working in customer-facing roles. As a result, we have very diverse data availability across the organisation (e.g. customer, product and interaction data).

Within Customer Operations, we are looking for an ambitious Data Analyst to full-time feed our Operations Tribe with data. In this role, you will be part of our Customer Operations Data Steering Team. There we will use data to support, inspire and invite our Telenet, BASE & back-office colleagues with insights, clearly understood reporting and recommendations.

The main responsibility of our team is to assist Customer Operations in its plans and ambitions towards internal and external stakeholders. We do this by integrating calmness, clarity and predictability using data.

Your responsibilities as a Data Analyst:

• Drives the analysis of larger data and insights, topics and tracks across the 6 different Operations Tribes (Telenet, BASE, Back Office, Billing, Customer Innovation & Platform, Steering);
• Understands the business question(s) and translates them into data requirements;
• Creates the necessary data queries to ensure that data is collected in the most correct way to perform analysis;
• Translates data analysis into a visually appealing PowerPoint deck that has a high level of data storytelling;
• Determines the best visualisations and then builds quality reports;
Presents insights to Operations management to ensure the full value of the analysis is captured.

Our ideal Data Insights Analyst:

• Master’s degree in Business Engineering, Applied Economics, Computer Science, Information Management... or equivalent through experience;
• Experience in Telecom, Entertainment, Consulting or similar industries is a plus;
• Experience in data analysis and ability to self-capture data;
• Knowledge of a reporting tool is a plus;
• Strong understanding of quantitative analysis and structured problem solving;
• You can coordinate an analysis end-to-end with the deliverable in mind, taking into account common pitfalls;
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills. You can convince key stakeholders;
• A good knowledge of Dutch and English is essential.
