One of Belgium’s leading players in the construction sector is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join its Brussels office in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert.

A managerial and strategic Finance Manager position has just been created in Brussels. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will occupy a strategic position where you will be able to make your own contribution.

Your main responsibilities as the new Finance Manager will include:

• Supervise accounting teams daily (in charge of general accounting and joint ventures, treasury and banking, accounts payable and accounts receivable).
• Manage the overall closing process up to and including Group reporting and external auditing
• Ensure that the general accounts are kept in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• File statutory annual accounts
• Provide accurate and timely internal reporting of KPIs, such as ageing analyses, etc.
• Provide process improvements considering recent ERP implementation
• Monitor compliance with VAT regulations and the timely and accurate submission of monthly VAT returns
• Maintain timely and accurate filing of annual income tax returns
• Guarantee that accounting records are kept in accordance with BGAAP and IFRS
• Assure that internal control procedures in line with Group rules and policies are adequately applied and propose changes to improve internal control.

About you:

• You have a master’s degree in finance or equivalent
• You are fluent in French or Dutch, with a working level of the other language. You are proficient in English.
• You have at least 10 years’ experience, including relevant personnel management position
• You have strong organizational and communication skills
• You can prioritize and make difficult decisions
