THE SCOPE

As a Financial Analyst with a focus on the IT department at Melexis, you will play a crucial role in supporting and advising the organization’s financial decision-making processes. You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data and providing insights and recommendations to drive efficient and effective utilization of resources within the IT department. Your expertise in financial analysis and knowledge of the IT sector will help ensure that financial goals are met while maintaining a strong focus on business growth and profitability.

As a Financial Analyst - IT, you will:

• Analyse and interpret data related to Information Technology infrastructure, processes and related topics - in close collaboration with the Information Technology (IT) department.
• Take ownership of the IT reporting/dashboarding:
• Manage and analyse data to generate meaningful business insights
• Optimise and implement (new) data processes
• Compare data and track progress to key targets
• Work with management teams to develop performance reports and metrics for use in long-term, annual and quarterly planning
• Track and report KPI’s and other information for your business area, contribute to the definition of improvement actions derived from the data analysis and monitor of the progresses of derived actions
• Ensure that all available intelligence is integrated in mid and long term business forecasting process (X+3 / X+5)
• Assist in the consolidation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly reporting
• Complete ad hoc projects and analysis requests where needed

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Economics, preferably master in Business and Information Systems Engineering
• Experience in Cost Accounting/Financial Analysis/Controlling is a plus
• You are interested in Information Technology (IT) and you have a analytical mindset and a passion for data
• Experience with SQL and BI
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment
• Ability to collaborate with other Melexis financial analysts and data engineers in the IT team
• Ability to achieve results through project, process and network driven organizational setups
• Fluency in English
