Dark Light, a specialized staffing agency, is looking for an Freelance Data Engineer for a part-time (3/5) assignment. Our Client is situated in Limburg and is a leader in their industry.

• Design and implement secure, scalable data processing pipelines and optimize data storage using Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
• Develop and maintain data models and architecture to support analytics and business intelligence, ensuring data quality through cleaning, transformation, and integration processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data systems within the Azure environment to ensure high availability, performance, and security, including implementing encryption and access controls.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements, automate data pipelines, and utilize Azure analytics tools like Azure Synapse Analytics for data-driven insights.
• Document data procedures and architectures while providing guidance on data governance, including metadata management, data lineage, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Expertise in SQL and other data query languages.
• Experience with Azure data storage solutions, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Familiarity with data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design principles.
• Ability to work with large datasets and conduct data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with SAP tables and data models is a plus.

• freelance contract: 3-6 months
