Job Description

As a Company Functional Safety and Cybersecurity assessor, you will be part of the quality team and will perform independent assessment of functional safety and Cybersecurity products development. Based on your design experience and your knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 41343, you will identify potential weaknesses and flaws in the design that could lead to a violation of a Safety or Security requirement. Additionally, you will support the design team to come up with an optimized safe and secured product, and making sure that State of the art is always followed.

Summary of the responsibilities:
  • Setup metrics to measure the functional safety and cybersecurity of our products:
    • Track list of Safety and Security projects within onsemi.
    • Plan the assessment review sessions and estimate the effort on a monthly basis.
    • Maintain lessons learned database.
  • Perform Cybersecurity assessment for industry products development (including Automotive, Medical, Industrial and Consumer products).
  • Perform Functional Safety assessment for up to ASIL D products
  • Guide design team on potential improvement in order to fulfill ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 objectives.
  • Report to management on anomalies and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity development processes.
  • Audit the groups and projects for compliance to the ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 standards.
    • 20% travel time may be expected.
    • 5-10 years of design experience of an Automotive hardware component:
      • Ideally experience as technical leader in SoC design including security or safety measures.
    • Good knowledge of the ISO/SAE 21434 and cybersecurity techniques (e.g. Threat analysis, Vulnerability monitoring, Cryptography, etc.) would be required .
    • Good knowledge of the ISO 26262 and Functional safety analysis tools (FMEDA, DFA) would be a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Good communication and negotiation skills; ability to provide company training; ability to present to management.
    • Travel to customers and other onsemi sites.
Following experience and knowledges would be a plus for the candidate:

  • Good knowledge of quality management systems (ISO/IATF16949).
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity techniques.
  • Knowledge of Automotive applications.
  • Good knowledge of microcontrollers.
  • Good knowledge of software development processes.
  • Previous Audit experience would be a plus.
  • Experience with direct customer interaction is an advantage.
