Mission

In this challenging position, you are the sparring partner of the business, and you provide on-location HR support to employees and managers. As part of the HR team, you report directly to the HR Director and work in close collaboration with the different BU’s and departments in our Gosselies site.

Responsibilities

The focus of your activities will be in Gosselies, but from time to time you will also need to offer support to other sites within the group.

  • As a process keeper, responsible for a qualitative implementation of the various HR processes and the coaching of employees and managers in this
  • Follow-up of the FTE budgets per BU and department in case of new recruitment requests
  • Daily contact with managers, employees and unions regarding personnel issues and responsible for the follow-up
  • Maintain good relationships with the trade unions as SPOC for the site
  • Manage the entire life cycle of the employees: onboarding of new employees, promotions, demotions, job changes, retention, exit
  • Provide support on hot topics in HR and at all times maintain a helicopter view on ongoing projects
  • Provide payroll colleagues with the necessary input and support
  • Proactively make proposals for improvement with regard to the personnel policy (ex. regarding employment conditions, attracting, guiding and retaining the right employees)
  • In close collaboration with the recruitment team, define the recruitment needs with the business and follow the recruitment process with the recruitment team
  • Follow-up of the evaluation processes at a local level, in close collaboration with the Talent Manager

Profile

  • Higher education, bachelor or master degree in HR, or equal by experience
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position, in an industrial production environment is mandatory
  • You have a good knowledge of employment and labour law
  • You are able to get a deep understanding of the organization and its needs
  • You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • You are persistent, discrete, proactive stress-resistant and work in an organized and accurate manner
  • You are fluent in French and English, Dutch in an asset
  • You have good knowledge of MS/Office, knowledge of SuccessFactors and Blox is definitely an asset
