IT APPLICATION OWNER

As a member of the applications team, you take ownership of one or more applications that support the business users in their day to day work. As a subject matter expert, you have or you acquire an in-depth knowledge of the system’s capacity and capabilities.

An equally important part of your role is to understand and translate the business needs and objectives of your end users and to support, encourage and train them to maximize the added value of our application landscape. You provide them with the best solutions to translate existing data into valuable business insights.

The job

• Manage day-to-day support issues (problems, change requests) to ensure a fast, efficient and customer-focused service to your end users.
• Document, perform, and cross-train common procedures or maintenance activities in order to keep our first line support (service desk) up to date.
• Develop training/learning interventions and material.
• Give in-house training to your end users.
• Build and maintain a good relationship with the application vendors and know their roadmap and plans so you can communicate internally and plan accordingly.
• Participate in school-wide digital projects as an IT stakeholder.
• Analyse and provide reports on the available data to support the different decision-making processes at Vlerick.
• This is a full-time contract of unlimited duration.

You

• Have a strong customer and result-oriented mindset.
• Have professional experience within a business applications environment.
• Are familiar with the rollout/implementation/usage of one or more CRM applications, bonus points if you have Salesforce experience.
• Like working at the intersection of technology and business.
• Are passionate about data and data quality.
• Are familiar with MS excel, databases and reporting tools, bonus points for the knowledge of Power BI.
• Have excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Are a team player who can also work autonomously.
• Can be based on our campus in Ghent, Leuven or Brussels but are flexible to join the team in Ghent on a regular basis.
