YOUR ROLE Auto Export Corporation (AEC) is a global automotive distributor and a service provider for OEMs and suppliers in the areas of general distribution, official Stellantis (former Fiat Chrysler, FCA) importer and distributor of Dodge & RAM vehicles and parts in Europe, market homologation incl. own R&D facility and vehicle processing center in Antwerp, parts distribution and warehouse, automotive consulting, automotive finance (partner of Santander Consumer Bank in key European markets), fleet operations, logistics solutions as well as retail operations.

For our office in Antwerp we are looking for a very motivated junior accountant who would like to grow with the company! The junior accountant assists the senior accountant in Belgium and together they are responsible for coordinating general accounts (BEGAAP), accounts receivable and accounts payable, helps improve accounting processes and supports various financial projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accounting: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger accounting.
  • Reporting: You report to the Senior Accountant and give him assistance with the monthly and Yearly reporting.
  • Register bookings, prepare payments and follow-up clients and suppliers.
  • Financial partner: Monitoring and allocation of incoming payments from cooperation partners.
  • Assists in budgeting.
  • Assists in financial projects.

Profil

YOUR PROFILE Education & Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in international scale up company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or at least five years’ experience in accounting.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English in speaking and writing.
  • Excellent understanding of BEGAAP accounting, laws, and ordinances.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office and accounting software).
  • Team player with soft skills.
  • Very analytical and detail-oriented, strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Good adaptability to a fast-moving business environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Financial project experience.
