Lead Senior Accountant (Waregem, Belgium)

We are hiring a Lead Senior Accountant to play a critical role in driving our international accounting operations. As part of a fast-growing, global team, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly and annual closing tasks, ensuring compliance with both IFRS and Belgian GAAP.
  • Act as an auditor for the annual LHG Internal Control System (ICS) audit.
  • Contribute significantly to our SAP4HANA implementation and Finance Transformation Program, ensuring all systems comply with Belgian statutory requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits in collaboration with the audit teams.
  • Lead accounting projects that drive efficiency and align with new company activities.

Profile:

  • Belgian Chartered Accountant with expertise in both Belgian statutory accounting and IFRS.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an international, complex accounting environment.
  • Proven leadership in accounting projects, with proficiency in SAP and Excel.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
