Profil recherché

1.Role overview:


In Vulcain’s Nuclear Business Unit, we are creating a team specialized in mechanical and materials engineering for the extension and dismantling of our nuclear power plants.

In this team, you will be responsible for a wide array of tasks:


  • Equipment design and components’ supply;
  • Contract ownership and mechanical product management, from the analysis of clients’ requests for all mechanical equipment, the drafting of reports and the writing of technical specifications, to the delivery and installation on site.
  • Study and monitoring of material aging – analysis of potential degradation mechanisms
  • Aging management programs: drafting of recommendations on how to control this aging, setting up inspections on site or equipment’s replacement and upgrade;
  • Drafting of equipment qualification in case of accidental conditions
  • On-site supervision, follow-up of manufacturer’s tests, follow-up of non-conformities.


2.Required profile:

  • Master in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
  • Fluent in English and Dutch or French
  • Interest and knowledge in the nuclear industry with a meticulous mindset
  • Technical expertise is a plus
  • Maturity to start work in an autonomous way
