Medical Manager HIV, EMC Partnership Markets

You will be the regional therapy area medical lead for HIV in the European Partnership Markets area, a region of sixteen countries in central and southeastern Europe. You will work closely with your commercial colleagues to provide proactive support for the field-based Medical Team.

In the role you will have to develop a deep scientific expertise. You will work across a broad internal and external matrix team, with some travel, in order to deliver results. You will collaborate with the Medical and Commercial Team in the Partnership Markets, to educate HCPs on the data for ViiV’s portfolio of medicines. By engaging in scientific exchange, you and the Medical Team will bring actionable insights in from these interactions for the benefit of people living with HIV.

Locations: flexible, however Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Czechia or UK are preferred

In this role you will…

  • be accountable for the Medical Strategy for the assigned ViiV products in the sixteen EMC Partnership Markets countries.

  • support the Phoenix Contract Medical Team to execute the Medical Operational Plans in the countries (Baltics, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia).

  • work in partnership with ViiV clinical development and central and regional partner functions, to optimise the clinical development plans in support of a robust file and life cycle strategy.

  • develop and deliver new medical affairs communication and training materials under the appropriate approval framework.

  • be responsible for ensuring that non-promotional activities and materials in the Therapy Area are implemented in a manner that is compliant with GSK’s Code of Practice and the GSK Values and Expectations.

  • ensure that all communications are scientifically accurate, balanced, remain aligned with product strategy, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations

Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • University degree (in life sciences, infectious diseases, and/or public health)

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience, acquired through global or local Medical Affairs or non-Medical Affairs relevant functional areas

  • Experience with review & approval processes in a highly regulated setting.

  • Experience of interacting with external experts, governmental officials and advocacy groups.

  • Full proficiency in English

  • Ability to develop and review independently new materials based on strategy, core evidence documents and communication strategy

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant experience infectious diseases

  • Ability to interpret (pre-)clinical, epidemiological, health outcomes, and real-world data and translate this into patient benefits

  • Experience of interacting with and managing external vendors
